ForPaws Dog Walking Service
We offer a first class, ethical, force-free and caring dog walking service in Guildford and Godalming. Our clients can go to work or go about their busy day, relaxed and confident that their dog is in safe and experienced hands.
The ForPaws Approach
We use only positive, force-free techniques in handling and managing our dogs and we only walk dogs together that get along with each other - for this reason, we prefer to start all of our new dogs and clients off with a solo walk or two, so that we can get to know them and work out the best playmates for them in our other walks. Our customers regularly tell us how much happier their dogs are with our walks!
Small Group Walks
ForPaws was founded in 2011 by Corrine Lisle-Harding, a qualified dog trainer, behaviourist and veterinary surgeon (as of 2024). She had personally seen the damage large, unruly and poorly managed dog walking groups can do to the behaviour and training of dogs who are not suited to those sorts of walks and decided from the outset that ForPaws dog walks would be different.
We offer small group walks with other dogs that we feel are suited for your dog. For example, we know some dogs like to play in similar ways, or don't like to play at all and prefer to just explore! So we match up dogs who have similar personalities on our small group walks (usually 3-6 dogs). Jo Ellet runs our dog walks now, and she has been fully trained by Corrine in the best way to group and manage our ForPaws dogs and we have lovely groups of dogs who get on well together.
What You Can Expect
Jo Ellett, is an experienced, DBS checked dog walker - who loves what she does - our clients are so grateful for her friendly, professional care of their best friend.
ForPaws is committed to fear free, ethical animal management and handling - we feel so strongly about this we have our own Code of Ethics that governs the way we do things.
You will receive a text update after each walk and also occasional photos sent via WhatsApp and on Instagram too!
You will have access to our dedicated Client Portal, where you can see your walks, request extras and pay your monthly bill via bank transfer or card payment. This can be automated if you prefer to reduce your monthly admin!
Additionally you can always request advice on dog behaviour matters from Corrine - whilst she no longer offers behaviour services for ForPaws - she is always happy to signpost clients in need to reputable trainers and behaviourists.
Price
At ForPaws, we have never aspired to be a budget service, as we feel this leads to corners being cut. We instead strive to offer a quality, pet centred service, that our hard working (human) clients can rely on whilst they are busy at work, which is reflected in our fee.
We invoice our clients monthly for all walks given that month and ask our invoices are settled by the end of eat calendar month, when we pay our team.
